This afternoon Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the R620 in Ramsgate for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived they found that 2 vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 1 patient sustained critical injuries, soon after treatment began the patient’s heart stopped beating. Paramedics quickly resuscitated the patient and managed to get the patient’s heart beating again.
A further 2 patients sustained serious injuries. All the patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not known, but SAPS are investigating.
