Excellent teamwork between SAPS Uitenhage Crime Prevention Unit and Despatch resulted in the arrest of six business robbery suspects and the recovery of most of the stolen goods during the early hours of this morning, 19 September 2021.
It is alleged that at about 01:20, five armed men broke into a business premises in Bell Street in Kruisrivier in Kariega and held the owner and his employee at gunpoint and with knives.
The six suspects aged between 36 and 43 years old were detained on a charge of business robbery. They are expected to appear in Kariega Magistrate Court on Tuesday, 21 September 2021.
