Police request assistance after a Business Burglary at Burgersdorp Post office

Members of the SAPS Detectives Services are hereby appealing to the Community for assistance after a Business Burglary was reported at the Post office.

It is alleged that on Friday, 02 July 2021 the manager closed the Post office and all was in good order.

On the following day on Saturday, 03 July 2021 around 08:00 when he opened the gate, accompanied by the hired security guards they noticed the safe, where money is kept, was open.

An unknown instrument was used to cut the safe wide open.

A preliminary investigation was done and an undisclosed amount of money and two 2 service laptops were missing.

A case of Business Burglary was registered at the local police station at Burgersdorp and the case docket was assigned to D/ Sgt Tindleni for further handling.

The acting District Commissioner Brigadier Rudolph Adolph appeals to the Community at large to assist the Police to crack down the case so that the perpetrators can be brought to book.
