A 45-year-old female was arrested in East London by the East London Crime Prevention members for dealing in drugs.
The members were performing their crime prevention duties when they were at Cambridge Street. Members spotted a female which acted suspiciously when she saw police. The members stopped her and ask permission to search her luggage.
Upon searching her luggage, they found pillowcases filled with 5 858 Mandrax tablets with the estimated street value of R700 000-00.
She has been charged for dealing in Mandrax and she will appear in the East London Magistrate court on 06 April 2021.
