A man believed to be in his thirties has been killed after the vehicle they were in allegedly broke down and whilst pushing it out the way a vehicle ploughed into them on the N2 South near NPC Cement around 2am.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the badly damaged vehicles on the National freeway. The man was assessed however he had sustained major injuries. There was nothing Paramedics could do for the man and he was declared deceased on the scene. Two other occupants had escaped with minor injuries.
At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
