A Black Mamba measuring approximately 1,5 metres in length was captured on a property on Jan Ross Drive in Fairbreeze – Tongaat earlier today.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by the homeowner who noticed the snake in her backyard after investigating a strange noise. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers found the snake behind a stack of tyres. Professional snake catcher Simon Keys & Siouxsie Gillett from Snakes In The City were called out and the snake was captured.
The highly venomous snake will be released back into the wilderness away from people and homes.
