Enthusiastic children of Bangui upon the arrival of the expedition team to hand them malaria nets
Yesterday, the First Lady of the Central African Republic (CAR), Monique Bozizé, helped the expedition team, Control Instruments staff and other eco-warriors assist in handing out the malaria nets and clothing to pregnant mothers and children.
The expedition team managed to hand out 2000 malaria nets to surrounding communities. The First Lady made an appearance as a sign of appreciation, to show her support for their cause. The Minister of CAR invited the Unite Against Malaria (UAM) team and all the sponsors to his house for a late lunch to thank them for their campaign.

The expedition team has moved Claude, one of the first chimpanzees to be rescued to an army base where he will stay till the team leaves for South Africa. Claude has become part of the team and seems very happy and excited to be relocated to a place of safety.
The SA army have been very accommodating and efficient in helping the expedition team in safely removing Claude from Bangui zoo. The army personnel have befriended Claude and care for his safe return to the Chimpanzee sanctuary, Eden in Nelspruit.
The team visited some local schools and handed out Gabriel Hats, nets and T-shirts
