A man was burnt to death when his car collided with a bakkie on the N2 between Mthatha and Qumbu, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.
Superintendent Mzukisi Fatyela said the accident occurred as the Volkswagen Citi Golf drove onto the N2 highway on Wednesday at around 8pm.
“The driver of the Golf did not see the bakkie which was driving on the N2.”
The Golf caught fire on impact and its driver was burnt beyond recognition.
Police were trying to find information on the car to identify its owner. – Sapa
