A total of 36 out of 44 software technicians quit the electronic National Traffic Information System (eNatis), Rapport newspaper reported on Sunday.
The technicians had left Tasima, which operates eNatis, at the end of February, company spokesperson Philip van der Merwe confirmed.
The eNatis programme manages the country’s driver and vehicle permit systems, among others.

Officials have stopped and checked 1 141 447 vehicles and drivers in 988 road-blocks throughout the country since December 1 as part of the Arrive Alive road safety campaign, the Transport Department said on Monday.
