A 29-year-old female was injured after she was run over by a minibus taxi on Ireland Street in the Verulam CBD today (Friday).
At approximately 12:19 members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called to the scene by a passerby requesting assistance for the female. On arrival, it was established that the pedestrian was crossing the road when she was run over by a Toyota Hiace taxi.
She sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
