Eight people suffered injuries after two vehicles collided on the Umdloti Beach Road near the Verulam Testing Ground Saturday afternoon.
At approx 17:12 Paramedics from Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene. Upon arrival Medics found that a red VW Polo & a white VW Jetta collided whilst traveling in the same direction. According to witnesses, the driver of the red Polo was traveling towards the Southridge robots when she lost control and collided onto the vehicle in front of her. This could not be confirmed.
Amongst the injured were four minors & an elderly female. They were stabilized on scene & transported to Osindsweni, Umhlanga & Ethekweni Hospital.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged.
