The Gabriel Wings Pitts Special aerobatic planes, sponsored by Gabriel shock absorbers, will perform at seven more events this year.
The public will have the opportunity to see some of the country’s most experienced pilots in action. The events are:
- 31st August – Bethlehem Airshow
- 7th September – Zandspruit Aero Estate Airshow at Hoedspruit
- 29th September – Rand Airport Airshow
- 4th, 5th, 6th October – Upington Airshow
- 12th October – Secunda Airshow
- 2nd November – Parys Dome Festival
– Dragon Boat Races on the Vaal River
– Pylon Racing at Parys Airfield.
- 14th and 15th December International Power Boating Races on the Vaal River downstream of Vereeniging.
Gabriel has sponsored the Pitts Special planes for over 15 years. “Our sponsorship highlights Gabriel’s commitment to safety, precision and professionalism,” said Sean Staley, Control Instruments-Automotive divisional head – Drive Control.
The Gabriel brand is now in its 78th year in South Africa. Its products are all locally designed and manufactured.
Recently, Gabriel achieved the top position in the shock absorber category of research conducted by Target Group Index (TGI).
TGI’s ICON Brand Survey is the largest of its kind in South Africa. More than 15 000 consumers were surveyed, representing over 19,8-million adult South Africans.
“Gabriel is an icon in the South African market and one of the most recognised automotive brands in the country,” said Mr Staley.
