Truck Tyre
We would like to share the scary truth of the impact of worn tyres on this Blog. The pictures pretty much tell the story; these photos are from 9 different incidents from November 2009 up until February 2010. Only four months or so.
And they only cover Randburg, Midrand, N1 and one incident in Greenside. Consider how many other incidents occurred nationally and others locally where the state of the tyres was not even noted.
Without going into detail; Injuries too numerous to count. Five people killed.
16 passengers in “the taxi” lying on its side.
The victim “going for help” ran across the freeway after his car ended up in the bushes, “canvas visible” on his vehicles front tyre. May be unrelated.
The latest victim died about 2 hours ago when the “smooth tyred taxi” driver lost it in the rain.
