A 17 year old male sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident in Dann road this afternoon just before 3 o’clock. Exact details of the accident are still speculative however according to an eyewitness the motorcycle came out of the shopping centre and landed in front of an oncoming vehicle.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene and found that the 17 year old sustained serious injuries. They worked fervently to stabilize the boy before transporting him to the Arwyp hospital for further treatment.

FIRST the motorist of Kempton Park need to look out for our kids on the motorcycles and do not push them off the road they have a right to be there!
I live in Kempton Park and I am horrified by all the teens in our area driving on motorbikes!!!
Most of the teen in do not ware protective clothing. They wear shorts and open shoes and no jacket. The helmet protect your head, but what about your body????
There use to be two other boys on bikes in our area that use to drive very reckless. They drive very close to the car and when I turn in to my driveway they come past so close they nearly hit my car the one day. They don’t stop at the stop streets and swerve through the cars.
I am a mom of two teenage boys with motorcycles, I don’t allow them to ride with out helmet, motorcycle jacket with padding, reflection, and gloves and Jeans and close shoes. They have not CHOISE if they don’t then sorry you don’t get on your bike you can then walk. I am told but it does not look “Cool” I don’t care you not going to look “Cool” if you should fall either.
Every other week there is some kid in an accident or has died all motorbike in the Kempton Express.
PLEASE to the parents out there make sure your kids have the proper protective clothing while riding on their bikes.
Regards Concerned Teen Parent.
